PastBook partners up with Filepicker.io to Create Books from Any Sources

From log-in to browsing your photobook in just 24 seconds

Summary
PastBook launches today a new improved book creation wizard, with Filepicker.io integration to enable file selection from any sources, placing them to compete with big-names like Blurb, Shutterfly, Snapfish & Mixbook. What sets PastBook apart is the speed and ease with which you can create a book in just 24 seconds from log-in to browsing your book, complete with dates, titles, likes and comments. A unique HTML5 responsive experience, to turn memories into the perfect gift, online and offline

The speed of PastBook's new streamlined automated book creation wizard is unmatched in current market players. Through PastBook's simple and intuitive new creation page, users can connect their social networks to create books based on Time-Range, Friend, Album (Facebook) or #Tag (Instagram) in three easy steps.

For more customised photo selection, users can now upload or import photos from multiple sources including Dropbox, Picasa, Flickr, personal computer, and more, to create a collage of memories.

The platform uses the latest HTML5 technology, enabling fast use on any online mobile device including the full range of Apple devices (while competitors often use Flash).

A common problem is that photos from holidays, events, celebrations and other special occasions end up stuck on computers or in the digital world, and risk being lost forever. Social media has helped users share photos around the world, but when it comes to turning those scattered digital memories into a tangible format, many are at a loss where to start.

"We spoke to people on the streets; moms, students, photographers, travellers, etc. A lot of  people (including myself) want to print their photos into an album, but don't have the time or patience to play around with layouts and titles and captions. It scares them, so they avoid doing it. PastBook makes the process so easy, so quick and effortless through our autofill system, and the results are as beautiful and high quality as if you custom made it yourself" founder Stefano Cutello says.

The PastBook platform operates on the mantra of "less is more". It distills the book-making process into a series of simple choices that won't overwhelm the user. Within a few clicks, the book is ready to browse, complete with likes, comments, dates and titles in a beautiful graphic-designed template the user can choose.

It allows users to easily capture important moments of their lives spread across various social networks into one place, to keep for yourself or as a gift to family and friends. The books can be downloaded as a free PDF, or ordered as a high quality printed book. Competitive prices start from 13,90 € with worldwide shipment included; you place the order and your friend will receive it at home.

In March 2013, PastBook shifted the focus from 'reliving personal memories' to 'turning memories into the perfect gift', after user behaviour analysis found that people were more inclined to create books for others.

In April 2013, PastBook also expanded into the B2B market, offering innovative collaborative book-making services to businesses wanting to engage their staff, or create customer interaction.

PastBook's next release will be a publicly available online collaborative book wizard, which for the first time will enable multiple users to quickly and seamlessly contribute photos and messages into a single book, even via mobile devices, without needing to download an app. This functionality will target the requirements of group gift giving or special events including weddings, birthdays, travel tours, school yearbooks and more.
